Since relocating across the river from Kentucky, I have been engrossed with violin virtuosity found in the Italian Baroque concerto and bluegrass music.
Because both styles exhibit fast, rhythmic playing on open strings and some occasional double stops, I thought the techniques found in both styles would give violinists something not only toothsome and satisfying to perform, but also fun to play.
