Soap Opera Dispenser
September 24, 2016 at the 21c Museum Hotel in Cincinnati, OH.
As radio became more popular in the 1920s and 1930s, Proctor & Gamble, a Cincinnati-based company, promoted their wares on a number of sponsored radio programs. These shows often became known as "soap operas."
As a nod to the Cincinnati company, twenty-second snippets of one of the earliest P&G soap operas (As the World Turns, airdate April 10, 1957) will be dispensed and juxtaposed amongst both retro and current soap ads.
Since the Center for Disease Control suggests that you scrub your hands for at least twenty seconds, you can easily listen to a soap opera or soap opera commercial whilst washing your hands.
